1886
The adventure began in far-off 1886, when on
cramped premises in Turin's Via Madama Cristina,
it began to produce labels and envelopes using
automatic machinery that was totally innovative
for the period. At that time a great deal of
female labour was needed for the application
of numbers and string (then of course was done
strictly by hand). Our first customers were
the mills, textile factories and companies that
were springing up at that time.
 1925
Before the beginning of the century, the company
had already taken part in numerous exhibitions,
a feat which made it stand out among the other
leading national companies in terms of quality
and innovations.
In the early years of the twentieth century,
Sales S.p.a. began to specialise in reinforced
paper envelopes, now its core business. After
the Great War economic and production activity
boomed, and in 1925 the business had to be moved
to larger premises in Via A. Peyron 25.
 1959
The real turnaround for the company came in
1959, when, thanks to its great technical and
constructional capabilities, it began to produce
the first self-adhesive labels on reel, among
the first in Europe to use such an advanced
technology for these years. In 1962, the company
moved to a new modern plant at Via Chivasso
5 in Leumann (Rivoli), our present offices.
 2000
After the production area was expanded to
4.000 square meters in 1993, Sales S.p.a., being
one within the very first in Italy, holds since
1995 the Quality Certification ISO 9001
released by the SQS Swiss Quality Certification
Authority. The company, which has always been
innovating through the years with new products,
in 1997 creates Rambloc,
the only writing pad reinforced with a tearproof
strip.patented and exclusive to Sales S.p.a.,
Rambloc has now gained a relevant place in the
stationery market, being the only real novelty
in the Office and school market. Sales S.p.a.
is today working on a next further enlargement
of 3.000 square meters.
2002
During this year Sales s.p.a. has achieved,
the Environmental Certification ISO 14001:1996
released by the SQS Swiss Quality Certification
Authority to manage and riduce the impact of
industrial activities on the neighboring environment.
